COMPANY BIOGRAPHIES

John Stanford was born into a printing family and started working for his father’s printing company, the thirteenth largest in the US, in 1968. During this time, John was able to train in every department, learning every aspect of print production.

In 1979 after receiving a MS degree in Psychology, John returned to his roots, entering the field of print sales. As his father had long since sold his company and retired, John struck out on his own. John was an immediate success in print sales and quickly moved up the ranks specializing in both sheet-fed and web printing.

In the field of sheet-fed printing, John found a niche with the production of cards and posters, as well as publications, and fast became one of the foremost sales people in the publication arena. John’s customers felt he was able to anticipate a problem before it happened, thereby avoiding most potential problems entirely.

At the end of the 1980s, several of John’s larger publication clients requested that John handle all aspects of production, from film production to distribution. This required coordination among several different printers, rather than just the single printer he was working for.

So in 1990 John started Stanford Consultants, Inc. to provide these clients with the complete turnkey service they were looking for.

In the last sixteen years, John has expanded his consulting company beyond the area of printing, including mobile and multi-media services. He has kept up with the times because his clients have demanded it. As long as customers are looking for a way to distribute media, John will be there to serve their needs.

John has enjoyed his years in commercial printing because every job was different and offered a challenge. This is the reason he has continually updated his business to include viable forms of new media. It is also the secret of his success.

Marc Camron entered the world of printing in 1991, as an editor and publisher at a small publishing company. Within two years he worked his way up to management, where he enjoyed success as the Director of Operations.

In 1996 the small company was purchased by a larger one, and Marc stayed on as Production Director. In this capacity he was responsible for the company’s largest and most successful division.

Marc was responsible for all aspects of production on more than fifty publications annually, including all of their ancillary materials.

In 1999, Marc accepted the opportunity to move on to a smaller publisher where he eventually became Senior Vice President of publishing. Still not satisfied with the day-to-day grind of publishing, Marc teamed up with John Stanford as part of Stanford Consultants, Inc. in 2001. He brought with him ten years of experience from the perspective of a publisher, helping balance John’s years of experience in print sales.

In the last five years Marc has become the administrative glue that holds Stanford Consultants together, making sure that bids are completed in a timely manner and that jobs run smoothly once booked.

Together John and Marc are the core team that makes Stanford Consultants click.
